National Civil Aviation Security Programme Workshop (NCASP)
Course content
Students will cover the following key topics:
- Communicate the objectives of the NCASP by drafting an objective statement
- Identify roles and allocate various responsibilities of all aviation security stakeholders as described in the NCASP
- Describe the various supporting legislation required for an effective NCASP and determine whether the legislation is based on international or national requirements
- Describe the various requirements and methods a State shall implement to ensure effective communication systems are in place, at both the international and national level
- Introduce definitions and security requirements for transfer cargo and high-risk cargo, and common baseline measures for cargo carried on passenger and all the cargo aircraft
- List security measures to be addressed regarding the protection of airports, aircraft, in turn, and Navigational Aides
- List security measures to be addressed regarding the control of persons and items, including persons other than passengers and vehicles
- List various training requirements and options for meeting those requirements
- Determine the make-up of the NCASP development team
