EU Ramp Inspection Programme (SAFA) - Inspectors Recurrent
Course content
(This course is the former SAFA Recurrent training, updated to Part-ARO/AMC/GM-Issue 3, Subpart RAMP requirements)
The recurrent training should cover at least the following elements:
- New regulatory and procedural developments:
- New operational practices
- Articulation review of other European processes and regulations (list of banned operators or aircraft pursuant to Regulation (EC) No 2111/2005, authorization of third country operators)
- Using data collected from Ramp Inspections and standardisation and harmonization issues
NOTE: If a ramp inspector loses his/her qualification as a result of failure to undergo the recurrent training mentioned in the paragraph above, he/she should be re-qualified by the competent authority by providing him/her with the missing recurrent training.
Course prerequisites
Attendees should be authorized EU Ramp Inspection Programme inspectors in the area of Flight operations (Pilot or Flight engineer), Airworthiness (Aircraft maintenance or Flight engineer), Ground handling or any other specialist deemed acceptable to the national EU Ramp Inspection Programme authority, provided the training and experience requirements are met, and the delegate's experience is still considered adequate for the fulfillment of their function.
Participants are kindly requested to bring a laptop to the course to access course material which will only be provided in electronic format.
