Course content
The course comprises 3 modules:
- Introduction to CORSIAMonitoring and reporting of CO2 emissionsFuel use monitoring methods and estimation of CO2 emissionsAeroplane operators’ reporting requirements;
- Verification of CO2 emissionsRequirements for verifiers and verification procedures in accordance with Annex 16, Volume IV, and the Environmental Technical Manual (Doc 9501), Volume IVPreparation of the Verification Report;
- The course contains presentations, exercises, case studies, and knowledge tests/quizzes to demonstrate the required knowledge and application of the key concepts presented.
Course prerequisites
- Working Knowledge of ISO 14064-3:2006 is required.
- Knowledge of ISO 14065:2013 is desirable.
Required preparation:
- Trainees must bring a laptop to the course that allow USB plug ins. Trainees will be provided most course material on USB drives in an effort to remain paperless as much as possible.
- Trainees must have Microsoft Office on their computers including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
