Assessment of CRM Skills: EU-OPS Compliance
Course content
This course is part of the specialised syllabus of the CRMI (Line/Sim) Course and particularly applicable for existing line and simulator trainers and those persons indicated in the target group shown below. The course covers requirements of JAR/EU-OPS for: · Knowledge Requirements for Assessment of CRM · Use of Behaviour Markers and Non-Technical Skills · Skill practice and development in observation of crew behaviour using the NOTECHS Behaviour Marker System as required in EU-OPS. (Attendees can adapt this to other NAA validated Behavior Marker systems within their own company if required). · Development of briefing and skill practice in using facilitation in a constructive de-briefing. · Practice skill development in assessing crew and individual CRM performance using the NOTECHS system of Behavior Markers and to provide suitable feedback to crewmembers. · Understanding the requirements of EU-OPS for the improvement of CRM skills by crewmembers and how this contributes to updating and improving the operators CRM training. Delegates will have qualifiied for the following upon successful completion of the course: CRMI (Line) delegates will be able to confirm, through their airline, to their relevant NAA that they comply in using Assessment of CRM Skills as required under EU-Ops, whilst conducting Line Training and Checking. CRMI (Sim) delegates will be ready to satisfy requirements for their NAA authorisation, in accordance with their relevant NAA requirements, and be able to use Assessment of CRM/Non Technical Skills as required under EU-Ops. Please Note: This course requires attendees to do some pre-course reading and to prepare coursework some evenings for the next day. The course is conducted in English.
Course prerequisites
1) Prior attendance and knowledge of Initial CRM course subject material.
2) Instructional Skills knowledge such as TRI/TRE/CRI/ CRE/SFI etc. or previous attendance at an approved TRI/TRE/CRMI CORE course or similar.
3) Willingness to learn and role model best CRM practice.
