Continuation Training SAFA Inspector
Course content
The overall objective of the training course is to present the latest developments related to the EC SAFA Programme (Safety Assessment of Foreign Aircraft) with the aim of reaching a common standard in the performance of SAFA ramp inspections. Developments regarding programme coordination, legislation, regulations, procedures, and data analysis are presented. To this end, the training course shall:
- Present a short summary of the historical background of the ECAC and EC SAFA programme; - Present the changes with regard to the legal and regulatory framework of the EC SAFA programme; - Present the legal and regulatory framework of the EC Community List process (so-called “blacklist”); - Present an update of the stakeholders in the EC SAFA programme (EC, EASA, EASA States, ECAC States); - Address the actual information flows and methods of information exchange among the stakeholders including an overview of foreseen enhancements of the SAFA database and the methodology of analyzing the data contained in the SAFA database
Course prerequisites
To be actively engaged in the management or execution of SAFA Ramp Checks, and have a detailed understanding about the SAFA programme, the inspection methodology and scope of the inspection.
