EASA Airworthiness Review Process (Part-M/CAMO/CAO)
Course content
Teaching Points:
- Introduction to high level applicable regulations, including the role of EASA and Continuing Airworthiness in a regulatory environment.
- Airworthiness and Continuing Airworthiness concepts.
- EASA Part M, CAMO and CAO (Continuing Airworthiness (CAM) part) overview and Guidance Material.
- A detailed review of Part-M Subparts B, C and I, Part-CAMO, (if applicable) Part-CAO including:
- ARC signatory qualifications and training requirements
- ARC tasks
- Checklists required
- Airworthiness Review Procedures required in Part 4 of CAME
- Management System
- Physical survey contents
- Impact on Compliance system
- Controlled environment
- Validity of ARC
- Aircraft transfer process - Part-M subpart-D and -E are addresses less in detail and in relation to maintenance in general.
- Practical examples of Part M implementation and how to avoid potential problems.
- The interface between Part M (Part-ML), Part-CAMO, Part-CAO and Part 145, EASA OPS and Part 21.
- Related management of EASA approved Mods and Repairs.
- Nominated Persons responsibilities.
- Relate background of Part-M Subpart I to other parts.
- The ARC tasks.
- Records review and Physical survey in relation to each other.
- Review the recommendation versus to issuing of an ARC.
What is the difference and who can perform? - Review the potential effect on CAMO’s and CAO’s Compliance / quality.
- The “Controlled Environment” is discussed in detail.
NOTE: Part-ML (Airworthiness requirements for ‘Light Aircraft’) is not detailed in this training course!
Course prerequisites
- It is assumed that attendees will have a general understanding of EU 1321/2014.
- Participants are kindly requested to bring a laptop to the course to access training course material which will only be provided in electronic format.
- Training course delivery will be provided in the English Language. An operational proficiency level in the English language Level 4 is highly recommended.
