POA (Annex Part-21)

Course content

The training course will be structured as follows:

Module 1 – EASA
Module 2 – The legal and regulatory basis
Module 3 – Subpart A, General
Module 4 – Subpart G, Production Org. Approval
Module 5 – Subpart F, production without POA
Module 6 – Subpart Q, Identification of Prod., etc.
Module 7 – Section B, Subpart G
Module 8 – Section B, Subpart F
Module 9 – Flight Test Operations Manual
Module 10 – Appendix XII, Categories of Flight Tests & Flight Test Staff Qualifications
Module 11 – EASA POA Procedures

As the approval of production under Subpart G (POA) or Subpart F (Letter of Agreement) is issued by the Competent Authorities of the EASA Member States, also Annex I (Part 21) Section B, Subpart G and Subpart F will be explained. The EASA internal working procedures regarding Production Organisation Approval will be presented as well. This procedure is applicable when the applicant for such an approval is a legal entity in a Non-EASA Member State, e.g. a Third Country.

Also covered in this training course is the issuance of Permits to Fly, the required Flight Test Operations Manual, the Annex I (Part 21) Appendix XII, the categories of flight tests and the associated flight test crew qualifications.

At the end of the training course, the attendees should have a detailed understanding of all the tasks and responsibilities of a production organisation manufacturing products, parts and/or appliances under Subpart G or Subpart F, respectively.
