The course will address:


01. Examiner authorisations and requirements – JAR-FCL

  • Appointments

02. Basic examining techniques and role of the examiner

04. Arrangements for the conduct of skill tests and proficiency checks including:

  • Flight test preparation (pre-test requirements: ground examination and training, flight training and competence; pilot licence; medical certificate; results of previous tests)
  • Provision of aircraft

05. Conduct of skill tests and proficiency checks

06. Examiner briefing format and techniques (including sample briefing)

  • Initial briefing

  • Main briefing (purpose of the flight; applicant’s responsibilities; check lists; planning check; test profile; emergencies and abnormal conditions; simulated emergencies; oral questioning)
